How Best to Spend a 3 Day Weekend in Seattle

Are you planning a 3-day weekend getaway to Seattle? Well, we have your back regarding what you must do and which places you must visit within 3 days. This includes upbeat bars offering the freshest cocktails, delicious seafood and walks by the coast. Note that Seattle’s neighbourhoods are far apart, therefore, you might need to get a rental car to ease your movement. Part of your getaway includes a good place to stay. Checking into a hotel or vacation rentals near Pike Place Market will ensure you are close to all the action. Now that you have a place to stay, let’s take a tour of Seattle.

The First Day – Unwrap

Wake up to a scrumptious breakfast at the Portage Bay which offers sizeable portions and yes, they accept reservations. Expect to sample smoked salmon eggs and crab cakes. After having your fill, it’s time to take a walk through Market Street to check out some of the shops including the Horseshoe Boutique.

Enough of the walk, head on over to the south in Fremont in your car. It’ll only take 10 minutes. This neighbourhood offers fantastic vibes and a unique culture. However, your visit will not be complete if you don’t visit the 18-foot sculpture of a VW sitting underneath the great Aurora Bridge. Afterward, pop into some art shops and galleries and marvel at the amazing paintings and drawings. Later on, head to the Manolin to grab some food. Make sure not to miss the happy hour where you’ll get up to $2 off on cocktails.

The Second Day – Turn It Up a Notch

The Crumpet shop awaits your arrival. For $10, you can get sweet crumpets for breakfast before heading over to the Ferris Wheel. This is where you face your fear of heights. Once on top, you’ll be able to marvel at the magnificent view of the Elliott Bay. After conquering your fears, take a walk through the Waterfront Park as you take in the glorious views of Seattle’s skyline. There’s no way you’ll convince people you’ve been to Seattle if you haven’t set foot in the Pike Place Market.

If you’re traveling with a spouse or your partner, the candlelit tables at the Pink Door provide a romantic atmosphere to enjoy a great Italian menu. Don’t call it a day yet, step into the lounge for amazing and relaxing jazz music, trapeze art, burlesque, and cabaret.

The Third day – Wrap It Up

Get a “hangover helper” with an Old Dominican drink to get rid of that ringing headache from the night before. This drink is available at the Wandering Goose where you’ll also get a southern breakfast. You’re looking at hash, eggs, and biscuits.Afterward, take a trip to the Golden Gardens beach where you’ll have lots to see including herons, turtles, ducklings and beavers on the wetlands. In addition, you’ll also get a chance to spot the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountain Range. While on location, cool down with some ice cream courtesy of Little Coney which also offers fries and burgers. As your weekend comes to a close, settle down for some Thai cuisine and cocktails thanks to Mai Thaiku. That’s it!
